Want to align your teeth but don’t fancy “ugly braces”? Invisalign is a series of custom-built removable aligners that straighten your teeth in a comfortable manner. Its clear plastic material and snug design makes it inconspicuous to the human eye.
The biggest difference between Invisalign and conventional metal braces is that these aligners don't use metal brackets or wires. Instead, they are made of a smooth and thin plastic, causing little to no discomfort compared to metal braces.
New aligners are introduced approximately every two weeks, gradually aligning your teeth step by step, ensuring the comfort of the wearer.
Invisalign aligners should be worn at least 20 to 22 hours daily, but patients can choose to take them off before meals and brushing their teeth.
With teeth-cleaning made easy, plaque build-up and tooth discolouration during the treatment period are greatly reduced.
Dr Tan is an Invisalign-certified Orthodontist and a similar technique of straightening teeth with clear aligners has been practiced in our clinic for the past ten years.
