In conventional metal braces, the bracket slots and wire are held together by ligature bands or clips. Pressure from the wire on the brackets works to move the teeth into the desired position. However, this process may cause pain and discomfort to patients.

With non-ligating braces, we designed a new type of braces that replaces the need for ligature bands or clips to secure the wire, hence making the whole braces treatment experience less intrusive and comfier!

A Shortened Treatment Time

The magic of non-ligating braces lies in the bracket slots. Made from a newly-developed titanium alloy, these brackets are flexible and sturdy at the same time. When pressure is applied, the titanium alloy flexes, reducing discomfort to the wearer.

Non-ligating braces not only bring about less irritation, they also straighten the teeth faster and more effectively – with a 20% reduced treatment time! Patients also only need to visit our dentist once every 3 to 4 months.
